About Vantona
Vantona is a trusted name in UK home textiles and bedding. Established in the 1920's, the brand represents craftsmanship, combining heritage and modern design in their ranges. Vantona partnered with us to create a full suite of photography and video assets to showcase their latest collections. The project covered room set photography, accessory styling, and a series of videos designed to highlight the seasonal range.
The Brief
Vantona required a room set shoot that would capture their Christmas, and Loom bedding ranges. The brief included a balance of main shots and detailed cameos to create lifestyle content as well as detail shots.
The video requirement included four short panning videos, mainly covering the Christmas bedding sets with one video of a Loom set. These videos would provide simple but effective motion content for Vantona’s website and social channels, closely aligned with their existing styling.
For photography, the project covered 11 main bedding sets, all shot with attention to detail and styled to bring out the quality and lifestyle appeal of the products.
The Room Sets
Our in-house set build team constructed two bespoke room sets that reflected the different product styles.
The Christmas set featured warm, festive styling with seasonal props including a Christmas tree, wrapped presents, and Christmas decorations to reflect the character of the range. The lighting here was warm, with the glow from fairy lights and lamps contributing to a cosy scene.
For the Loom range, our team constructed limewashed walls to complement the textures of the bedding and accessories. The lighting represented a daytime scene, with hard lighting casting stylistic shadows and picking out textures in the bedding.
Each set was designed with lifestyle aspiration in mind, keeping the bedding as the hero whilst surrounding it with subtle styling touches.
Styling The Bedding
When it comes to shooting bedding, the styling of the products themselves needs close attention to maintain consistency between images, and to show the products off in the best way possible. We brought in stylist Alexandra Chrapkowski for this shoot. The focus for the four Loom double bedspreads was to create a minimalist, fresh look with layered textures and tonal accessories.
For the Christmas bedding, seven beds were dressed in total (five doubles and two singles). Each bedding style was shot with both main and cameo looks for a comprehensive view of each design. Accessories completed the festive look, including fleece throws and seasonal cushion shots paired with the matching bedding.
The styling aimed to create a lifestyle narrative around comfort and festive charm whilst making each bedding set feel different and characterful.
Room Set Videography
To complement the photography, we created four short panning videos, with Annie doing the camera work. All videos were shot in a clean, square crop format, optimised for web and social channels. Steady panning camera movements created interest whilst keeping the bedding the focal point.
Each of the bedding sets had a unique style and the camera movement across each pattern was designed to show the detail that would appeal to Vantona's customers.
Go Behind-The- Scenes With Our Team
Our lead photographer Paul ensured consistent lighting and composition across the sets, with attention to natural daylight effects to elevate texture, colour, and softness in the fabrics. The shoot delivered a versatile asset library for Vantona, combining stills and video that engages customers across ecommerce listings.
Final Images & Assets
The final assets provided Vantona with a combination of carefully styled photography and videos that resonates strongly with Vantona’s customers across retail platforms, social media, and print. We produced a total of 33 images for 11 bedding sets, with wide shots and cameos. Plus four videos which give a detailed view of the products' patterns, textures, and style.
