A Sekonda Watches Creative Shoot
Alongside marketing agency Makalu, we shot for Sekonda in a project that would capture content that displays the features of their smart watches, as well as their jewellery and watch gift sets.
Shooting The Stills
The brief for the stills referenced a summer style to the images using hard lighting to create a natural effect.
Coloured backgrounds were used when photographing certain products. A sandy beach inspired gold, warm oranges and bright whites aimed to enhance the summertime theme. These creative flat lay images were designed to be clean, crisp, natural, and engaging.
Ecommerce style shots were also taken on a white background from multiple angles to provide Sekonda's customers with a comprehensive view of the products.
A key consideration for our photographer Paul during the shoot was the likelihood of glare and reflections from the products. To ensure professional images, the lighting had to be carefully controlled.
Shooting The Video
The shoot aimed to show the features of Sekonda's smart watches, using video to display the watches' abilities in real time.
The watches were shot on a model, with a close up angle on the wrist to allow the screens of the watches to be clearly visible.
Working from a storyboard, our Head of Creative Steve set about capturing all the required features to build the video sequence.
We took videos of the graphics as they appeared on the watch faces, cycling through their features which included message notifications, physical activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, GPS, stress indicators, and a waterproof mode.
